Guild President’s Message

As the 30th Guild president, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the incredible performances being presented during this 65th season of the Daytona Beach Symphony Society.

The Symphony Guild has become my passion and it is an honor to serve as president. I am humbled by the significance of this milestone and dedicated to leading the Guild on our mission of serving as the Society’s fundraising arm, promoting community awareness, and providing volunteer support.

I encourage you to meet and converse with our Guild members. Music lovers at heart, the Guild has been sharing its enthusiasm for bringing the performing arts to Daytona Beach since 1955. I hope you will visit our Symphony Guild Boutique in the Peabody lobby during performances. I would also like to invite you to join us at our Annual Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show and our fall Bag Lady Luncheon – just two examples of the many events we hold in support of Symphony Society programs such as YES! (Youth Experiencing Symphony) which brings thousands of our area youth to performances each season. I am especially delighted to report that our fundraising efforts resulted in a gift of over $39,000 to the Symphony Society during the 2015-2016 Season!

We invite you to join us at our Symphony Guild meetings on the 1st Monday of each month, October through May, at St. James Episcopal Church (38 S. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach). Free parking is provided and the meeting begins with hospitality beginning at 9:30 AM. Guild business is conducted from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by performances from talented local artists and students. At the meetings you will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to our many events and PONs (Parties of Note) while you visit with old friends and make new ones.

I am truly grateful that my life has led me to this special moment and will faithfully serve the Guild to the very best of my abilities. I hope you will join us as we make “fundraising fun”!

Please feel free to contact me at 386.265.1202 if you have any questions about the Guild.

In Good Spirit,
