DAYTONA BEACH, FL (February 11, 2015) – The Daytona Beach Symphony Society (DBSS) is delighted to announce that the 6th performance in our 63rd Season will be a staging of the ballet, Cinderella, by the Russian National Ballet Theatre, on Friday at 7:00pm, February 27th at Peabody Auditorium.
The enchanting fairytale of everlasting love Cinderella comes to life in the timeless ballet filled with Profofiev’s unforgettable music, superb dancers, and dazzling costumes. Cinderella, originally choreographed by Rostislav Zakharov, was a part of the inaugural season of the Russian National Ballet Theatre, in 1987-88, and has been staged hundreds of times since then. While over the centuries there has been updated technology and ballet technique, the Russian National Ballet Theatre prides itself on being a Russian Classical Ballet Company and stays as true to the original creations as possible. Elena Radchenko, a former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, has been their Artistic Director since 1995.
Tickets for Cinderella by the Russian National Ballet Theatre are available up to and including the day of the performance, as well as for the rest of the season. Please visit our website at www.dbss.org for more information. Or, to purchase tickets, visit the Peabody Box Office, or call 800-745-3000.
