DAYTONA BEACH, FL (January 6, 2015) – The Daytona Beach Symphony Society (DBSS) is excited to kick off the new year with a concert by the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at 7:00pm on January 17th at Peabody Auditorium.

Founded in 1946, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is one of London’s most prodigious orchestras. Grammy® Award Winner Pinchas Zukerman will conduct and perform as a soloist in Beethoven’s violin concerto. Additional selections for the evening include Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68.

“Our greater Volusia County community has long enjoyed a special relationship with orchestras from Great Britain. So we’re very excited to be bringing the London Royal Philharmonic to Daytona Beach this season!” says Director of Marketing and Development, Tracy Marino.

Tickets for the Royal Philharmonic are available up to and including the day of the performance, as well as for the rest of the season. Please visit our website at www.dbss.org for more information. Or, to purchase tickets, visit the Peabody Box Office or call 800-745-3000.
