Starting August 1st Single Tickets & Season Subscriptions available for the Daytona Beach Symphony Society’s 2017-18 Season!

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (July 27, 2017) – The Daytona Beach Symphony Society’s 66th Season at the Peabody Auditorium (600 Auditorium Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32118) will feature the Royal Philharmonic from London, the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, brilliant orchestras from Germany, Sweden, Russia and our neighbors in Jacksonville, and the incredible opera, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly!

 

Join us Opening Night with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and be inspired by the exquisite talents of piano soloist, Dmitry Masleev, winner of the 2015 Tchaikovsky Competition! The Season continues in January with a one night only event featuring London’s own Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with Pinchas Zukerman gracing the stage as conductor and violin soloist. And, with over a hundred years of excellence in Sweden, the Helsingborg Symphony concert will feature a rising young star, Armenian pianist Nareh Arghamanyan.

 

February will bring the heartbreakingly beautiful opera, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, the legendary German orchestra, the Staatskapelle Weimar Orchestra with a newly announced soloist, the 2013 Gold Medal Winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Vadym  Kholodenko, and a matinee of monumental works with our beloved neighbors to the north, the Jacksonville Symphony. And closing out 2017-18, our Season finale in March will celebrate the masterful symphonic range of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba!

7:00 pm, Saturday, January 13                 Royal Philharmonic, with Pinchas Zukerman, conductor & violin

3:00 pm, Sunday, January 28                   Helsingborg Symphony, with Nareh Arghamanyan, piano

7:00 pm, Saturday, February 10                Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Teatro Lirico D’Europa

7:00 pm, Friday, February 23                   Staatskapelle Weimar Orchestra, with Vadym  Kholodenko, piano

3:00 pm, Sunday, February 25                  Jacksonville Symphony, with Behzod Abduraimov, piano

3:00 pm, Sunday, March 4                       National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, with Pavel Nersessian, piano

 

“This Season we were able to schedule all the performances on the weekends, including three of the ever popular Sunday matinees!” adds Tracy Marino, Director of Marketing and Development.  “And we encourage everyone to join us at the Free Pre-Performance Lecture Series, at Peabody Auditorium, one hour before each performance, and to take advantage of our ticket discounts for students, families, the military, and Volusia County School employees.”

 

Single tickets ($39-$69), go on sale on August 1st and can be purchased in person at the Peabody

For a savings of 20% off single ticket prices, Season Subscriptions range from $220-$386 per seat, and are exclusively available at the Symphony Society office by calling 386-253-2901.
