Celebrating its 93rd Season, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra will feature Jan Lisiecki, on piano. Conducted by Peter Oundjian, the Program will feature Scheherazade, Op. 35, by Rimsky-Korsakov, and selections from Estacio and Beethoven.
“And we are happy to announce that on January 8th, we also launch a new partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Volusia/Flagler Counties, building upon and extending the inspiring and artistic success of our YES! (Youth Experiencing Symphony) Program with Volusia County Schools, now in its 20th year.”
“It has been shown that exposing children to many different art forms is an effective form of nurturing the intellectual process. Often children discover their giftedness through an awakening that occurs through life experiences,” adds Darla Otey, Director of Development at The Boys & Girls Club of Volusia/Flagler Counties.“The Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler Counties is committed to providing our members with as much positive exposure as possible. We believe our partnership with the Daytona Beach Symphony Society will allow us to do just that.”
